Berlins water world in the north

“Tegeler See”, located in the north of city in “Alt-Tegel” is with a surface area of 4.6km² one of the biggest lakes in Berlin. Best way to reach it is by U6 to “Alt-Tegel”. From there it is just a small walk towards the “Greenwichpromenade”. From there it is possible to take cruise ships to all over Berlin or rent canoes and other sport boats. Also, there are several beer gardens along the promenade.

As the lake is very big, there are tons of walking options, 7 islands, several ferry connections to or in between islands and 3 beach bathes. Once in summer there is the “Tegeler Hafenfest” (Tegeler Harborfestival) with fairground, markets, beer gardens, live stages and fireworks.
