This is a short picture report about Port Douglas at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. We settled down for 2 nights in the Sheraton Grand Mirage Hotel at 8 mile beach.

Day Trip to the Great Barrier Reef in Port Douglas

We did a snorkel day trip to the Great Barrier Reef from Port Douglas. This way we had the chance to have a first impression on this gigantic underwater world. Luckily we hit exactly the day of the year the tide is the lowest, so the reef was rising out of the water. It felt like a whole continent was showing up.
